Abstract—In the present investigation, an attempt is made to study the effect of reinforcement of Flyash on aluminium 2024 alloy, subjected to heat treatment. The cast composites were tested for hardness, wear characteristics and the obtained properties were correlated with the microstructure. The results of the present investigation indicate that there is a considerable improvement in the hardness values, microstructure and resistance for wear. Index Terms—Aluminium 2024 alloy, Composite, Flyash, Heat treatment, Microstructure
