Abstract—In the heat treatment of gears, vertical stacks are used to place the jobs into the furnace. Due to the use of vertical stacks the face run-out for the jobs exceeds the desired limit. In order to overcome this drawback of vertical stacks we are substituting them with newly designed Vstacks. Index Terms—Stacks, Heat treatment, Furnace, Pitch Circle Diameter runout, Face Runout
